“Confessions of a Former Tradio Queen; Tales of Resiliency”

In addition to twenty-five years of teaching, raising a family, a great deal of volunteering plus appearing in numerous shows for the Cathedral Arts Council and Peace Players, Cara Corcoran was with YL Country from 1997 to 2003. Working in radio taught Cara to be ready for anything, and most of all, to be resilient - because you just never know what's going to happen live on the air, especially on Tradio! Turns out, that was just preparation for what was to come...

Fast forward 13 years, and Cara now lives outside of Stony Plain, in the community of Blueberry. Her 10 acres of land is called Anam Cara; in Gaelic, this means "Soul Friend", referring to one that journeys alongside you. At 50 years old, it is not at all where Cara thought she'd be, or how she'd imagined she'd end up there; and yet the most important work of her life is just beginning.

Cara is passionate about sharing her journey, in hopes that her story will strike a chord of the resiliency that resides within you.
